Hi! I'm Kennedi and I am 9 years old in the 3rd Grade at Shields Elementary in the Red Oak School District in Glenn Heights, TX. Kennedi Kares began when I was in 2nd grade and made a decision to help the homeless and needy. I am a normal kid with a passion to serve those in my community.

I asked my parents to help me serve people in need in my community starting with feeding the homeless. I want to help them and others suffering with food insecurity. With your help I can help other kids like me live a normal life without worry for their basic needs. Will you help me in this effort?

Kennedi Kares began one cold night in November 2016 while I was attending Movies In the Park with my mom. I was cold and I knew that the homeless were cold too. I asked my mom if we can help them on Thanksgiving.
My parents and my Girl Scout Troop helped me collect blankets and socks for them and I created my menu for my parents to cook.

My parents and my Girl Scout Troop helped me collect blankets and socks for them and I created my menu for my parents to cook. On November 25, 2017 we served our first 100 people.
On that day, I saw children like me who were hungry, without clothes, books, or even toys! I knew I had to do more . In 2018 I asked my parents to help me do more. We fed the homeless at Thanksgiving and Christmas and I even gave away my toys! I know that the homeless are in need year-round and I need your help to serve them in a greater way. Can you help me?
